East Zone is Bali's eastern region, famous for its black sand beaches, underwater shipwrecks, and traditional hill villages. The climate averages 80-90°F (27-32°C) year-round; dry months from April to October are best for diving the USAT Liberty wreck at Tulamben or hiking Mount Batur's sunrise, while the wetter season from November to March brings lower accommodation rates and quieter temple visits at the 1940s Tirta Gangga water palace. In the dry season, you can also snorkel at Amed's calm bay, whereas during the green season, explore the historic Tenganan Pegringsingan village known for its double ikat weaving.
